Dr. Tobi Oluwatola is a policy analyst, entrepreneur and Africa-first campaigner. He is currently the Founder/ Chairman of the Board of Madiba Foundation for Good Governance, CEO of TAO Energy, Executive Director of CJID, and Senior Adviser on the UK Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility. 

He has 16 years’ experience in policy, economic and financial analysis for the energy sector across four continents. Dr Oluwatola started his career as a management consultant at KPMG and previously worked for the RAND Corporation and Castalia in the US, where he worked extensively for the World Bank and other DFIs. 

At CJID, he leads a team of over 100 professionals in five countries to build civic technology tools, innovate in the media space, advocate for human and economic rights, conduct policy research/advocacy, and train thousands of journalists annually in subjects as diverse as media and information literacy to climate change or conflict and security. He oversees the work of Dubawa, West Africa’s leading fact checker, and supports Premium Times, Nigeria’s foremost investigative newsroom.
